A full-day course held on September 11 (Friday) and 12 (Saturday), 2026, centered around the Katakaimatsu Asahara Shrine Autumn Grand Festival Dedicated Fireworks, exploring the Ojiya City and Katakaicho areas throughout the day. Counted among Japan's three greatest fireworks festivals, this event is renowned for the world's largest four-shaku tamaya fireworks unique to Katakaicho. In the afternoon, explore roadside stations and Ojiya's downtown while experiencing the nature and culture of Uonuma. Toward evening, enter Katakaicho and satisfy your appetite at local festival stalls before heading to the viewing area. At 7:30 PM, approximately 15,000 fireworks (combined total over 2 days) launched from the hillside illuminate the night sky, and the experience of deep bass reverberating through the mountain village is extraordinarily powerful.
