Collect spring water from Mount Fuji and explore local specialty products and souvenirs
About this spot
A roadside station standing on a plateau at approximately 900 meters elevation at the base of Mount Fuji. The main feature is the water collection point on the grounds, where you can freely collect and take home groundwater that has been filtered through Mount Fuji over many years. The direct-sales corner displays locally grown highland vegetables and Fujiyoshida textile items—perfect for souvenir hunting. A light meal corner also serves Yoshida udon, ideal for a second helping if you're still hungry. Relaxing with a soft-serve ice cream while gazing at Mount Fuji provides a pleasant respite.
Tips
If you plan to take spring water home, bring empty plastic bottles. Parking lots can become crowded on weekends, so allow extra time. The elevation is high and breezes are cool even in summer, so bring a light layer. The Radar Dome Museum is next door and just a short walk away.
Best time to visit
Approximately 1 hour 30 minutes. Early afternoon still offers good variety in the direct-sales corner.
