A complex area along the Kanmon Strait established at Misonokicho Pier (岬之町埠頭), serving as one of the primary fireworks viewing areas for the Kanmon Strait Fireworks Festival. The distance from the wide waterfront to the launch location is close, providing an impressive and dynamic view of the fireworks. As the sun sets, the lights of Kita-Kyushu and Moji Port across the strait begin to reflect on the water, making the time before the fireworks enjoyable as a scenic experience in itself. Secure a spot early, spread out your leisure sheet, and wait for the show to begin while enjoying the food you purchased from Karato Market. Around 7 PM, the surrounding area becomes increasingly lively, and anticipation for the festival builds.

Tips

About 5-10 minutes walk from Karato Market. On the day of the fireworks festival, early spot reservation is necessary, with crowds starting to form around 6 PM. Surrounding parking lots tend to fill up, so public transportation is the safest option. It's reassuring to use restrooms at Karato Market or nearby facilities beforehand. After the fireworks end, the surrounding roads and bus stops become heavily congested, so it's recommended to wait a bit before moving on.

Best time to visit

Approximately 50 minutes required. Even after sunset, when lights begin to illuminate both shores of the strait, the evening twilight hours are worth viewing.
