One of Muroran's most iconic scenic sites, Cape Chikyū features dramatic 100-meter cliffs plunging into the Pacific Ocean. Often called 'the hill where the earth looks round,' it offers unobstructed views of a sweeping horizon. Walking trails and a lighthouse surround the observation deck, inviting leisurely coastal strolls. On clear days, distant mountain silhouettes emerge, offering Hokkaido's grand-scale scenery at its finest.

Tips

荒天時は中止または延期となる場合があるため、当日の開催可否は事前に確認しましょう。終了後は周辺道路が大変混雑するため、公園で少し余韻を楽しんでからの時間差帰宅がおすすめです。

Tips

About 20 minutes by car from central Muroran. Railings surround the observation deck, but keep a close eye on small children. Strong winds can feel chilly, so a light jacket is recommended.
