About this spot
One of Muroran's most iconic scenic sites, Cape Chikyū features dramatic 100-meter cliffs plunging into the Pacific Ocean. Often called 'the hill where the earth looks round,' it offers unobstructed views of a sweeping horizon. Walking trails and a lighthouse surround the observation deck, inviting leisurely coastal strolls. On clear days, distant mountain silhouettes emerge, offering Hokkaido's grand-scale scenery at its finest.
