About this spot

A park developed on the riverbed of the Ishikari River (石狩川), which itself serves as the venue for the Fukagawa Summer Festival Fireworks Display (ふかがわ夏まつり花火大会). In addition to a spacious lawn plaza, it also has a park golf course and a baseball field. Its open scenery along the river lets you spend time freely, making it popular with families with small children too. Since this spot itself becomes the center of viewing on the day of the fireworks display, it's also a good idea to get a feel for the atmosphere during the day.

Tips

Access by car from central Fukagawa is convenient. If you plan to play in the water, bring a change of clothes and a towel. Wear a hat and use sunscreen during hours of strong sunlight.
