A nationally famous festival held throughout the Kishiwada Castle town and old city area on September 19 (Saturday), 2026, from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m., and September 20 (Sunday) from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. Danjiri floats weighing over 4 tons are pulled at daring speeds, with 'Yarima-washi' (sharp 90-degree corner turns) being the festival's most spectacular moment. From the morning 'pulling-out' to the evening 'lantern-lit parade' with illuminated lanterns, the festival presents different faces throughout the day, and the entire castle town is enveloped in festive excitement from morning to night.
