The Splash Pool (Seseragi Plaza) (じゃぶじゃぶ池（せせらぎ広場）) at Saga Prefectural Forest Park is a free water play area spreading out in the middle of the Seseragi Plaza. In 2026, it runs from April 25 to mid-October, and the official Usage Guide also states, Splash Pool period: April 25 to mid-October (2026). The water is shallow, about 10cm deep, and equipped with a filtration system, making it suitable for small children to take off their shoes and enjoy water play. Both admission and parking are free, so its biggest appeal is being able to head out on the spur of the moment on a nice day. Once you've had enough of the water, you can go back to the large combination play equipment at the Learning Plaza or the spacious lawn plaza, and this park's strength is being able to return to the pool again and again, resting in between. The time of day when the evening light reflects on the water's surface is especially beautiful, making it a perfect way to close out the day.

Since the closing date is only announced as mid-October, if you're visiting from late September onward, check the official website's Usage Guide for the current status on that day. Since you enter the pool barefoot, having a bag to gather your shoes and towels will keep things tidy. Shade is limited to the areas near the groves of trees, so setting up a picnic sheet or a tent will let you play for longer. Wet bodies can get cold easily, so it's reassuring to bring a few more towels than the number of people so everyone can dry off and change right away when they get out.

Best time to visit

Entering after 2 p.m. lines up with the time when the sunlight softens, letting you play until evening with breaks in between.
