This is the central facility of Sapporo's library system, with a generously sized children's book section. Looking for picture books about Hokkaido's nature, animals and vehicles connects directly to the play that follows later in the day. The building is air-conditioned and quiet, making it just right for spending a hot summer morning. Story-reading and other events are held on some days, so joining in is recommended if the timing works out. Horonishi Bicycle Park is close by, whether by car or public transport, so you can move there during the morning.
