The Horonishi Bicycle Park Water Play Area is a free water play area inside Horonishi Bicycle Park in Chuo Ward, Sapporo. In 2026 it is open from Monday, June 29 to Sunday, August 30, from 10:00 to 16:00. The water is shallow, so even small children who are wary of water can start by dipping their feet and get used to it gradually. Because the cycling practice course is in the same park, you can move naturally from working up a sweat to stepping straight into the water, and that is what makes this park interesting. It is sized for local children to gather, so there are no lines or waiting times and you can go at your own pace. Adults can watch over the whole area from a bench in the shade, which is reassuring.
