Suisen no Oka (すいせんの丘, Narcissus Hill – Stream & Fountain) at Shiki no Michi Hasegawa Scenic Park (しきのみちはせがわ展望公園) is a free water play area at Plaza No.5 of the riverside route park running along the Yamato River (Hase River) (大和川(初瀬川)). According to Tawaramoto Town's official information, the fountain is scheduled to operate from Saturday, June 13, 2026 (Reiwa 8) through Wednesday, September 30, 2026, from 9:00am to 5:00pm. With a flowing stream and a fountain, even small children can play here without worrying about depth, which is a great source of reassurance. The 8,644-square-meter plaza is equipped with a rest area, a play equipment corner, a walking path, and a rose garden, so children can keep playing at their own pace — moving to the play equipment when they tire of the water, and back to the water when they tire of that. The view along the embankment is good, and the river breeze passes through, so just sitting in the shade of the trees keeps you cool. Admission is free, so you can also use it for just a short visit.

Tips

The fountain is scheduled to run until 5:00pm, so getting out of the water around 4:30pm to allow time to change lets you head home calmly. Operation is scheduled but may change due to weather or other factors, so check Tawaramoto Town's official information before you set out. Shade is limited to around the rest area and the trees, so a picnic sheet and a hat make resting easier. After playing in the water, wash your feet well at the tap and change clothes before moving on to the play equipment for a more comfortable experience. Children who are not yet potty-trained should wear water-play diapers.

Best time to visit

About 3 hours 10 minutes. Afternoon, when the sunlight softens, is recommended, and there is plenty of time before the fountain closes at 5:00pm.
