The Kirisato Nature Park Water Play Area (Waterfront Facility) is a free water-play spot at Kirisato Nature Park in Ota City. In 2026, it's scheduled to be open from Friday, April 24 to around Wednesday, September 30, from 10:00 to 16:00; since the closing date isn't officially announced by the ward, late September is a rough guide based on past years. The facility has both a stream and a pond, letting you play two ways: walking along the stream, or crouching by the pond to scoop up water. It's convenient that you can choose the spot to match your child's age - the pond for small children who have just started walking, and the stream for kids old enough to run around. True to its name, the park has plenty of trees, so once you're tired from playing, you can rest in the shade nearby. The water is filtered and disinfected, but not drinkable.

Tips

The water isn't drinkable, so be sure to bring your own drinks. In spring, even as temperatures rise, the water is still cold, so having something to wrap up in right after getting out is reassuring. Changing space is limited, so wearing your swimwear underneath your clothes will shorten your prep time.
