Uozu Aquarium and Mirage Land: A Full Day with Family
A full-day family course in Uozu, the town of mirages, where you can fully enjoy the ocean's mysteries and an amusement park. In the morning, visit a museum showcasing a buried forest from approximately 2,000 years ago in an underwater display, and enjoy beach-grilled lunch at the bustling Umi no Eki Shinkirage (Sea Station Mirage) near the port. In the afternoon, meet the fish of Toyama Bay at Uozu Aquarium, which boasts Japan's oldest existing history, and from the large Ferris wheel at neighboring Mirage Land, take in the grand panorama of Toyama Bay and the Tateyama Mountain Range across the sea. The short walking distance and compact layout make it easy to navigate with small children—a wonderful point for families.
