Numazu Port: Deep Sea Aquarium and Seafood Food Walk
A full-day course to fully experience Numazu Port (沼津港), the gateway to Suruga Bay—Japan's deepest bay. In the morning, visit Numazu Port Deep Sea Aquarium (沼津港深海水族館) to meet deep-sea creatures, where the whole family will be amazed by coelacanths and mysterious deep-sea residents. At lunch, enjoy seafood bowls and dried horse mackerel at Numazu Minato Shinsenkan (沼津みなと新鮮館), port delicacies unique to the harbor, and take in a grand panorama of Suruga Bay and Mount Fuji from the observation floodgate Byuo (びゅうお). Finish with a seaside stroll through the pine groves of the Imperial Villa and Senbon-Hama's shoreline—a perfect Numazu day with both gourmet food and spectacular scenery.
