Tokushima: Bizan Ropeway and Hyotan Island Cruise - A Walk Through Sky and River
A full-day course that views Tokushima from sky and river using two different vehicles. Bizan (眉山), the symbol of Tokushima City, and the Shinmachi River (新町川) flowing through the downtown area are the stars of this itinerary. After praying for safe travels at Tokushima Bizan Tenjin Shrine at the base, take the Bizan Ropeway for an approximately 6-minute aerial walk. From Bizan Park at the summit, a grand panorama unfolds showing Tokushima's cityscape and the Kii Channel. After descending the mountain, enjoy lunch and a break on the boardwalk at Shinmachi River Waterfront Park with pleasant river breezes. The finale is the Hyotan Island Cruise, which circles around the sandbar shaped like a hyotan, with the thrilling experience of passing under low bridges while enjoying a tour at water level. A must-do day for vehicle enthusiasts, comparing the same city from two different heights.
