2026 Heguri Fireworks Festival: A Full-Day Course
This is a full-day course centered on the Heguri Fireworks Festival, held on Saturday, September 12, 2026, that lets you fully enjoy the charms of Heguri Town, Nara Prefecture, and its surroundings. In the afternoon, experience the world's oldest wooden buildings at Horyuji, one of Nara's great ancient temples, and stroll through the historic scenery of the village of Ikaruga. Afterward, move on to Heguri Town, where you can take a breather amid the lush natural surroundings along the Tatsuta River before heading to the venue, the Heguri Town General Sports Center Ground, in the evening. At night, look up at the fireworks launched into the clear autumn air of the mountains. This is a distinctly Nara-style autumn day plan woven together from an ancient village and fireworks in the mountains.
