Ihatov Forum: Pageant of Light and Sound - Fireworks Fantasy (イーハトーブフォーラム 光と音のページェント 花火ファンタジー): A Full-Day Course, 2026

This course is centered on the Ihatov Forum: Pageant of Light and Sound - Fireworks Fantasy (イーハトーブフォーラム 光と音のページェント 花火ファンタジー), held on Saturday, August 8, 2026, and lets you enjoy a full day in Hanamaki (花巻), the town connected to Miyazawa Kenji. In the afternoon, encounter the poet's world at the Miyazawa Kenji Memorial Museum (宮沢賢治記念館), and deepen your understanding of Hanamaki's nature and culture at the adjacent Ihatov Museum (イーハトーブ館). In the evening, have an early dinner in central Hanamaki before heading to the banks of the Kitakami River (北上川). Once it's dark and you've settled in on the riverbed, fireworks launch into the night sky between Asahi Bridge (朝日橋) and Asahi Ohashi Bridge (朝日大橋). It's an Iwate summer night course, enjoyed in the embrace of the rich nature that Kenji called Ihatov.
