2026 Hiwasa Sea Turtle Festival Summer Fireworks Display (日和佐うみがめまつり納涼花火大会): A Full-Day Course
Centered on the Hiwasa Sea Turtle Festival Summer Fireworks Display (日和佐うみがめまつり納涼花火大会), held on Saturday, July 18, 2026, this is a full-day course to enjoy the seaside and nature of Minami Town, Tokushima Prefecture, from midday onward. In the afternoon, visit Ohama Beach (大浜海岸), known as a nesting site for loggerhead sea turtles, and pay a visit to Yakuo-ji Temple (薬王寺), home to one of Japan's oldest statues of Yakushi Nyorai. In the evening, fill up on local flavors at Roadside Station Hiwasa (道の駅 日和佐), and at night watch fireworks rise into the summer sky from the sand around Ohama Beach. This plan combines the nature and history unique to a sea turtle town with seaside fireworks, letting you savor summer in Minami Town to the fullest.
