2026 Niihama Ryōryō Fireworks Festival Full-Day Experience Course
This is a full-day course to enjoy Niihama City, Ehime Prefecture, with the Niihama Ryōryō Fireworks Festival held on Friday, July 31, 2026, as the main attraction. In the afternoon, we'll experience the history of the Besshi Copper Mine at Akagane Museum (あかがねミュージアム), a cultural and natural hub of Niihama, and enjoy an evening breeze at Niihama Central Park (新居浜中央公園), a beloved gathering place for residents. In the evening, we'll move to the viewing area along the Kokuryo River to secure a good spot and wait for the performance while enjoying the bustling food stalls. As night falls, from the riverbed near Hirakatabashi Bridge (平形橋) on the north side, the entire family will look up to see approximately 8,000 large fireworks blooming across the night sky. This is the definitive summer plan for Niihama, where you can experience in one day both the history of the castle town that flourished through the Besshi Copper Mine and the grandeur of the summer night painted by spectacular fireworks.
