A full-day course centered on the Okazaki Castle Town Ieyasu-ko Summer Festival Fireworks Display (岡崎城下家康公夏まつり花火大会), held on Saturday, August 1, 2026, letting you enjoy Okazaki (岡崎), the castle town associated with Tokugawa Ieyasu (徳川家康公), from daytime onward. In the afternoon, tour Okazaki's history and culture, starting with Okazaki Castle (岡崎城), designated a National Treasure, known as the birthplace of Lord Ieyasu. In the evening, cool off and secure a spot at Okazaki Park (岡崎公園) on the bank of the Otogawa River (乙川), and spend the time before the show starts with the food stalls and the river breeze. Once night falls, fireworks launch from both banks, the Otogawa River and the Yahagi River (矢作川), and large bursts of light color the night sky of the castle town.
