2026 Fujisaki Town Fireworks Festival: Full-Day Enjoyment Course
With the 57th Tsugaru Fireworks Festival (Toronagashi Lantern Floating), held on Thursday, August 20, 2026, as the highlight, this full-day course lets you enjoy Fujisaki Town in Minami-Tsugaru District, Aomori Prefecture, and its surroundings from midday onward. In the afternoon, tour the nature-rich areas around Fujisaki Town, known as an apple-growing region, enjoy local food at a roadside station, then head out to classic spots in the Hirosaki area. In the evening, return to Hakucho Fureai Plaza on the banks of the Hirakawa River to secure a spot and wait for the show while enjoying the cool river breeze. Once night falls, following the Toronagashi lantern-floating ceremony, about 5,000 fireworks bloom one after another in the night sky, creating a scene where light shimmers on the surface of the Hirakawa River. It's a plan the whole family can enjoy, savoring an Aomori summer night by the river.
