2026 Kotohikihama Kaketsu Beach (琴引浜掛津海水浴場) Full-Day Course
A one-day course that leisurely savors the shores of Kyotango (京丹後), starring Kotohikihama Kaketsu Beach (琴引浜掛津海水浴場), open from Saturday, July 4 to Sunday, August 23, 2026. In the morning, start at the Kotohikihama Singing Sand Culture Museum (琴引浜鳴き砂文化館), where you can learn how the sand comes to squeak underfoot, then enjoy the views and playground equipment at Kabutoyama Park (かぶと山公園). At midday, take a break at Tenki-Tenki Tango Roadside Station (道の駅てんきてんき丹後) right beside the shore while tasting the seafood of Tango (丹後). Then in the afternoon comes the climax, with Kotohikihama Kaketsu Beach waiting. Known as the world's first non-smoking beach, this white sandy shore is free for swimming, and with showers, restrooms, changing rooms and one beach shop, even first-time families can spend the day with peace of mind. Swimming hours are from 9:00 to 17:00. Tread on the singing sand and enjoy the sea of Kyotango to the fullest until evening.
