2026 Shotenkyo and Kadonohama Beach (小天橋・葛野浜海水浴場) Full-Day Course

A one-day course that fully enjoys Kumihama-cho, Kyotango City (京丹後市久美浜町), starring Shotenkyo and Kadonohama Beach (小天橋・葛野浜海水浴場), open from Saturday, July 18 to Sunday, August 23, 2026. In the morning, pray at Kandani Tachinomiya Shrine (神谷太刀宮神社), an ancient shrine that watches over the area, and wish for a safe trip. Next, head to Kabutoyama Park (兜山公園) and take in the calm scenery of Kumihama Bay (久美浜湾) from the lookout. At midday, take a break at Kumihama SANKAIKAN Roadside Station (道の駅くみはまSANKAIKAN) while tasting local seafood and Kyotango (京丹後) cuisine. Once you are full, it is time for the afternoon climax at Shotenkyo and Kadonohama Beach. Swimming is free, and with showers (cold water free, hot water paid), restrooms, changing rooms and a beach shop in place, families can relax. Swimming hours are from 9:00 to 17:00. Enjoy the waves to the fullest until evening on the white sand beside the blue Sea of Japan (日本海). Parking is 1,500 yen per day for a standard car.
