2026 Shirahama Beach (Tara Town) - Full-Day Experience Course
A full-day course centered on Shirahama Beach in Tara town, Saga Prefecture, which opens from July 11 (Saturday) to August 31 (Monday) 2026, exploring the peaceful fishing village facing Ariake Sea. In the morning, first visit the submerged torii gates of Daigyo Shrine that appear offshore during low tide. The vermillion torii gates lined up in the sea are a rare sight unique to Tara town. Then stop by Michi-no-Eki Tara, where you can browse local seafood and specialty products while shopping for souvenirs and having lunch. And finally, head to Shirahama Beach, the climax of this day-long experience. Swimming hours are from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. (swimming time may vary depending on tidal conditions), admission is free, and showers cost 100 yen for 3 minutes, making it affordable to use. With restrooms, changing rooms, and rest areas, plus AED installations during the opening period, even families with small children can enjoy a safe and comfortable experience. Enjoy water play until evening on the gently sloping beach unique to Ariake Sea.
