2026 Suma Beach Full-Day Course
A full-day course to thoroughly enjoy Suma Ward, Kobe City, with Suma Beach as the centerpiece, which will be open from 9:30 am to 5 pm from July 9 (Thursday) to August 23 (Sunday), 2026. In the morning, first enjoy a historical walk at Sumadera Temple (須磨寺), an ancient temple associated with the Gempei War, then visit the popular Suma Seacoast Aquarium where you can interact with marine life while enjoying lunch, including watching the popular dolphin show. From the aquarium, it's just a short walk to Suma Seacoast Park to refresh your mood before heading to Suma Beach. The shallow and gentle sandy shore is equipped with changing rooms, showers, toilets, and lockers, and three beach houses are operating, so you can enjoy the beach with minimal gear. Swimming is free, though some facilities such as showers and lockers are available for a fee. The convenient access from Sannomiya by train makes it perfect for family day trips to the beach. Enjoy the afternoon playing in the waves and sand, and savor Kobe's sea until the 5 pm closing time. Prepare your swimsuit and towel, and head out to Suma's summer!
