2026 Keino Matsubara Beach - Full Day Beach Experience

A one-day itinerary centered on Keino Matsubara Beach, which opens from July 11 to August 23, 2026 from 9 AM to 5 PM. Experience Minami-Awaji City's history and seaside beauty in a single day. Start your morning at Onokoro Island Shrine, birthplace of Japan according to ancient mythology, to pray for a safe and good day ahead. Next, visit Kashiwa Hachiman Shrine, beloved by locals, and enjoy the peaceful shrine grounds and surrounding greenery before grabbing lunch. Then head to Keino Matsubara Beach, one of Japan's three most famous pine forests, where wide-open sandy shores stretch out beneath towering black pines. The beach offers 24-hour toilet access, warm showers, and food stalls, making it comfortable even for families with young children. Parking is 700 yen for regular cars and hot showers cost 300 yen. Note that there are no coin lockers, so be mindful of valuables. Enjoy the afternoon playing in the waves and building sandcastles, admiring the contrast between the green pine forest and blue sea—a quintessential summer day in Minami-Awaji City.
