2026 Okuzu Beach (興津海水浴場), Katsuura City - Full Day Experience Course

A full-day course combining a stroll through Katsuura with scenic seaside views, centered on Okuzu Beach in Katsuura City, Chiba Prefecture, which opens from July 18 (Saturday) to August 23 (Sunday) 2026. In the morning, enjoy fresh seafood and local flavors at Katsuura Morning Market, one of Japan's three major morning markets, then visit Tomimisaki Shrine known for its impressive stone steps. After lunch at Hachiman Cape Park with views of the Pacific Ocean, head to Okuzu Beach. Operating hours are 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, with free admission to the swimming area and approximately 140 free parking spaces. The beach features free showers and toilets, and holds the international Blue Flag certification for water quality and safety management, so families with small children can enjoy it with confidence. AED is also installed for added safety. Note that the beach will be closed July 21-24 and July 27-31 during the season, so please check dates before visiting. Bring your swimwear and towel for a full day enjoying Katsuura's sea and town.
