2026 Kada Beach (加太海水浴場) One-Day Course

This one-day course centers on Kada Beach (加太海水浴場) in Wakayama City, open from 9am to 5pm from Saturday, June 27 to Sunday, August 23, 2026, and lets you enjoy the whole port town of Kada, which looks out over the Kitan Strait (紀淡海峡). In the morning, start by paying your respects at Awashima Shrine (淡嶋神社), known for the dolls dedicated there from all over the country, and pray for a safe journey and a good start to the day. Next, head to Takurazaki Lighthouse (田倉崎灯台), a scenic spot overlooking the Kitan Strait and Tomogashima (友ヶ島). Feel the sea breeze as you take in the view and get a sense of the wide sea you're about to swim in. For lunch, fill up near Kada Fishing Port (加太漁港) on a meal made with freshly landed seafood. Once you've recharged, it's finally time for Kada Beach. Swimming is free, and the beach is equipped with showers with changing rooms (fee required), two restrooms, a shop, and an AED, so families can enjoy it with peace of mind. Have fun playing in the water on the calm inlet's sandy shore until 5pm in the evening.
