2026 Isomiura Beach One-Day Full Experience Course
A full-day course enjoying the entire Kata coastal area, centered on Isomiura Beach which opens from July 1 (Wednesday) to August 31 (Monday) in 2026 in Wakayama City. In the morning, visit Awashima Shrine in Kata where hina dolls line the grounds to pray for safe travels, then savor the views of the Kii Channel and Tomogashima Island from Tagura-saki Lighthouse at the tip of the Kata Peninsula. At midday, head to Kuroshio Market in Wakayama Marina City to watch the tuna filleting show and enjoy fresh seafood lunch. The climax is Isomiura Beach in the afternoon. Swimming is free, and with changing lockers, showers (paid), restrooms, shops, and a café available, you can come nearly empty-handed. Open from 8 AM to 5 PM, you can spend plenty of afternoon time playing at the water's edge. Parking is 1,000 yen per day and showers require a fee, so bring coins. Enjoy the sea, lighthouse, shrine, and fresh seafood all in one day—a uniquely Kata summer experience. Why not grab your swimsuit and towel and head out with the family?
