2026 Sanko Town Water Park (Outdoor Pool) Full-Day Enjoyment Course

This is a full-day course centered around the "Sanko Town Water Park" outdoor pool at the Sanko Town Sports Center in Sanko Town, Ikoma District, Nara Prefecture, which operates from July 4 (Sat) to September 6 (Sun), 2026. From July 18 (Sat) to August 31 (Mon), it operates daily; outside these dates (7/4-5, 7/11-12, 9/5-6), it operates weekends only—checking your schedule in advance is recommended. In the morning, first visit Shigizan Asago Mago-ji Temple, an ancient temple built on the slopes of Mount Shigi. Walk through the grounds known for its large papier-mâché tiger with your family, and enjoy prayers in the refreshing air. As lunchtime approaches, head to the area in front of JR Oji Station for a light meal or shopping to refuel. Once prepared, enter the Sanko Town Water Park. The facility features a lazy river pool, two water slides, a full-scale 25-meter pool, and a shallow children's pool for younger children, allowing you to enjoy water play until closing at 4:30 PM. With shops, showers, and lockers available, you can spend the whole day having fun with minimal baggage. This is a family-friendly summer staple course beloved by local children.
