2026 Oda-no-Hama Beach 1-Day Full Experience Course
From July 18 (Saturday) to August 30 (Sunday) 2026, enjoy a full-day course to experience Kesennuma Oshima island, centered around Oda-no-Hama Beach in Kesennuma City. The pure white sand and highly transparent waters have just welcomed the beach season on July 17 (Friday), offering scenery unique to the island. In the morning, first enjoy the views of the bridge and Oshima Seto Strait from the base of Kesennuma Oshima Ohashi Bridge, then savor seafood lunch characteristic of a port town at "Umi-no-Ichi" (Sea Market). After crossing the bridge to the island, enjoy panoramic views from the observation deck at Kameyama, then visit the rocky shores with the white lighthouse at Ryumaizaki and other island-specific scenery. Finally, head to Oda-no-Hama Beach. Swimming hours are 9 AM to 4 PM (until 5 PM on weekends, holidays, and August 12-14 during the Obon period), and swimming is free. With showers, toilets, beach houses, and lifeguards on duty, families with small children can enjoy the day with peace of mind. Despite being on an island just across the bridge, you can enjoy authentic beach swimming—a full day to savor the summer of Oshima. Prepare your swimwear and towel, and head out with your family.
