2026 Yura Beach - Full Day Course
A one-day course centered around Yura Beach (由良海水浴場) in Tsuruoka City, Yamagata Prefecture, which opens from July 18 (Saturday) to August 16 (Sunday) 2026. In the morning, enjoy the fantastical world of jellyfish at Kamo Aquarium (加茂水族館), affectionately known as "Jellyfish Dream Museum." After driving to Yura, explore Hakusan Island (白山島), a small island connected by a red bridge. Once lunch is finished, it's the climax at Yura Beach. The shallow sandy beach stretches wide with toilets, changing rooms, showers, and first aid stations all in place. Lifeguards are constantly stationed, making it safe even for families with young children. Beach houses are also open, so you can enjoy playing in the sea until evening with breaks in between. Swimming hours are from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM. Swimming itself is free, but if you use the parking lot, a cooperation fee of 1,000 yen is required. Why not enjoy a full summer day with your family at one corner of the Shonai coast, known for its sunset sinking into the Sea of Japan?
