2026 Sanze Beach (三瀬海水浴場) Full-Day Course

A course that spends the day working along the Shonai (庄内) coast, starring Sanze Beach (三瀬海水浴場) in Tsuruoka City (鶴岡市), open from Saturday 18 July to Sunday 16 August 2026. In the morning, visit Tsuruoka City Kamo Aquarium (鶴岡市立加茂水族館), known worldwide for its jellyfish displays, and step into their dreamlike world. Next, to Hakusan Island (白山島) afloat off Yura (由良): a scenic landmark of the Shonai coast where you cross a vermilion bridge to pray at the small island's Benzaiten (弁財天) shrine. For lunch, savour seafood landed on the Shonai coast (庄内浜) around Yura Fishing Port (由良漁港). Then comes the afternoon at Sanze Beach — a family-friendly beach with toilets, showers and a first-aid station, lifeguards on duty, plus a rocky shore and a natural diving platform. Swimming hours are 9:00 to 16:00 and swimming is free (parking contribution 1,000 yen). In the clear waters of Shonai you can play to your heart's content until early evening. Spend a generous day with your family taking in both faces of this coast, the open sea and the rocks.
