2026 Gifu City Northern Citizens' Pool (岐阜市北部市民プール) Full-Day Course

A one-day course starring Gifu City Northern Citizens' Pool (岐阜市北部市民プール), open from Saturday 11 July to Sunday 13 September 2026 (daily opening runs from 18 July to 31 August; outside that period it opens on weekends only). In the morning, stroll Gifu Park (岐阜公園), the symbol of Gifu, taking your time with views of the greenery of Mt. Kinka (金華山) and the clear flow of the Nagara River (長良川). Then walk the old streets of Kawaramachi (川原町) and enjoy a summer-holiday detour past surviving latticed townhouses and small Japanese confectionery shops. From midday, it is on to Gifu City Northern Citizens' Pool. With a proper 25 m by 17 m pool and a toddlers' pool, and affordable admission of 240 yen for adults and 120 yen for elementary and junior high students, you can enjoy plenty of water play until evening. The calm atmosphere typical of a municipal pool is reassuring even with small children. This course combines a historical walk with water play for a summer day with real local character.
