2026 Meyu-to Beach Full-Day Experience Course

A full-day course centered on Meyu-to Beach (女遊戸海水浴場) in Miyako City, Iwate Prefecture, which operates from July 18 (Saturday) to August 16 (Sunday) 2026, combining the bounty and spectacular scenery of the Sanriku Sea. From July 18 to August 7, the beach is open on weekends and holidays only, and from August 8 to August 16, it's open daily. Swimming hours are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM. The morning begins at the fish market near Miyako Station, where you can glimpse the freshest catches, then explore Jodo-ga Hama (浄土ヶ浜), one of the region's most celebrated scenic spots, with its white rocky shores and brilliant blue sea. Lunch at the Jodo-ga Hama Rest House (浄土ヶ浜レストハウス) lets you taste local Miyako cuisine before heading to Meyu-to Beach. This quiet sandy beach features showers and restrooms, where you can leisurely enjoy time playing in the waves until evening. With parking for only about 20 cars, arriving early is recommended.
