2026 Urano-hama Beach (浦の浜海水浴場) One-Day Course

This one-day course centers on Urano-hama Beach (浦の浜海水浴場), open daily from 9am to 4pm from Saturday, July 18 to Sunday, August 16, 2026, while also letting you enjoy the charms of Yamada Town (山田町). In the morning, start your trip at Rikuchu-Yamada Station (陸中山田駅), the terminus of the Sanriku Railway (三陸鉄道), then head to Michi-no-Eki Yamada (道の駅やまだ), just a short walk from the station. At the attached Whale and Sea Science Museum (鯨と海の科学館), get a feel for the connection between Yamada Town and the sea, and have an early meal of locally sourced cuisine. Once you've filled up, it's finally time in the afternoon to move to Urano-hama Beach for the highlight of the day: swimming. There's parking for about 120 cars, along with restrooms, changing rooms, and warm-water showers, so families with small children can enjoy it with peace of mind.
