2026 One-Day Full-Enjoyment Course: Sabu Beach (小波海水浴場)
This one-day course centers on Sabu Beach (小波海水浴場), open from Sunday, July 5 through Monday, August 31, 2026, and lets you fully enjoy the Shimane Peninsula's coastline. In the morning, board a sightseeing boat at Kaga no Kukedo (加賀の潜戸) and tour the mysterious sea caves carved out by the power of the waves. For lunch, savor freshly landed seafood at Etomo Fishing Port (恵曇漁港), and once you've eaten, it's finally time for Sabu Beach (小波海水浴場). Located on the Shimane Peninsula in Matsue City, one of its great appeals is that swimming is free. A rest area, showers, and restrooms are set up near the sandy beach, so changing clothes and staying hydrated are easy. Spending time gazing at the neighboring campground is also a very Shimane-Peninsula way to enjoy summer. There are 100 parking spaces available for a fee of 1,000 yen. From splashing at the water's edge to collecting shells, make the most of summer until evening. Why not bring your swimsuit and towel and head out to the sea of the Shimane Peninsula?
