2026 Gotsu Central Park Citizens' Pool (江津中央公園市民プール) Full-Day Course
A one-day course starring Gotsu Central Park Citizens' Pool (江津中央公園市民プール) in Gotsu City (江津市), open from Saturday 18 July to Monday 31 August 2026. Spend a relaxed morning at Michi-no-Eki Sanpico Gotsu (道の駅サンピコごうつ) browsing Iwami (石見) seafood and local vegetables, then enjoy the views together as a family at Takatsunoyama Park and Hitomaru Shrine (高角山公園 人丸神社), which look out over the Gonokawa River (江の川) and the Sea of Japan (日本海). From midday it is on to the citizens' pool. Alongside a proper 50 m pool with eight lanes there is a wading pool with three slides in a row and a fun artificial waterfall, plus shade shelters, so even strong sunshine is no problem. Admission is affordable at 110 yen for elementary and junior high students, 220 yen for high school students, 440 yen general and 550 yen for young children, so the whole family can enjoy the water easily. It is open until 18:00 (last admission 17:30), which makes it easy to plan a full day of play right through to evening. Wander the town at the mouth of the Gonokawa River and finish at the pool — a Shimane Prefecture (島根県) day out made for the summer holidays.
