2026 Yoshino Water Park Full-Day Experience Course

A full-day course centered around Yoshino Water Park (吉野ウォーターパーク), an outdoor leisure pool in Awa City, Tokushima Prefecture, operating from July 18 (Saturday) through August 30 (Sunday), 2026. The course gets you moving from early cool morning hours. First, visit Kiribata-ji (切幡寺), the 10th temple of the Shikoku 88-Temple Pilgrimage Route. After climbing 333 stone steps, you'll find a grand pagoda with a view overlooking Awa's plains—a refreshing way to start your day. Next, stop at Awa no Dochu (阿波の土柱), a nationally designated natural monument, and view the impressive rock formations created by long-term wind erosion from the observation platform. Both spots are conveniently located about 10 minutes by car from Yoshino Water Park—classic morning destinations. Then head to Yoshino Water Park, which offers a 25-meter pool, sub-pool, and children's pool, plus two water slides (50-meter and 30-meter) suitable for toddlers through elementary school children. Operations run 9:00–12:00 and 13:00–16:00 in rotating sessions; this course uses the morning session. Admission is very affordable: ¥520 for adults, ¥260 for elementary and middle school students, ¥100 for preschoolers, and ¥200 for caregivers (50% surcharge for non-Awa City residents).
