2026 Futami Seaside Park (Michi no Eki Futami) Beach: A Full Day of Fun

This course centers on Futami Seaside Park (Michi no Eki Futami) Beach, open from 9am to 6pm from Monday, June 29, 2026 to Monday, August 31, 2026, and spends a full day in Futami, Iyo City, Ehime Prefecture. In the morning, first visit JR Shimonada Station, known as a station with a stunning view of the blue Seto Inland Sea, and enjoy the sea view spreading out from the platform. Next, head to the Gunchu area in central Iyo City and stroll through Gunchu Shopping Street, where the old townscape remains, having lunch at a local eatery. Once you've eaten, the afternoon's highlight is finally Futami Seaside Park (Michi no Eki Futami) Beach. The beach adjacent to the roadside station has free admission and is equipped with changing rooms, showers, and coin lockers, so you can enjoy the sea with almost nothing to carry. Showers cost 200 yen for 2 minutes, making it easy for families to rinse off sweat and sand after swimming. The calm, shallow water is also well suited to small children playing in the sea, and you can take a break at the roadside station's produce hall and rest areas. Swimming is available until 6pm, so it's recommended to wrap up a little early to allow time for changing. Futami is also known for its beautiful sunsets over the horizon, so if time allows, it's worth enjoying the changing colors of the evening sky as well.
