2026 Onoura Beach (小野浦海水浴場) Full-Day Course

A one-day course touring the west coast of the Chita Peninsula (知多半島), starring Onoura Beach (小野浦海水浴場), open from Thursday 25 June to Sunday 13 September 2026. In the morning, first visit Noma Lighthouse (野間灯台), also known as a sacred spot for couples, and enjoy the view of the white lighthouse looking out over Ise Bay (伊勢湾). Next, pray for a safe trip at Noma Daibo (野間大坊), an old temple connected with Minamoto no Yoshitomo (源義朝). At lunchtime, take the edge off your hunger with tastings and shopping at Toyohama Ebisenbei no Sato (豊浜えびせんべいの里), a Minamichita speciality. Then, in the afternoon, on to Onoura Beach. On the calm waters of Ise Bay spreading along the coast at Onoura in Mihama Town (美浜町 小野浦), you can enjoy splashing at the water's edge and playing in the sand until evening. The coast faces west, so if the timing suits, the colours of the evening sky are another pleasure. Pack a swimsuit and a towel and set out for a summer day on the Chita Peninsula.
