2026 Bangami and Nishi-Bangami Beach: A Full Day of Fun
This one-day course centers on Bangami and Nishi-Bangami Beach in Kashiwazaki City, Niigata Prefecture, open from Sunday, July 5 to Sunday, August 16, 2026, and takes you around the area's famous coastal spots. In the morning, start by strolling through the Japanese garden at Shoun Sanso, which changes with the seasons, spending a quiet moment at the start of your trip. Next, extend your visit to Bangami-do, standing on Cape Bangami, touching on history associated with Saint Nichiren while enjoying the view of the Sea of Japan. For lunch, head to the area in front of Kashiwazaki Station and refuel properly at a local eatery. In the afternoon, it's finally time for Bangami and Nishi-Bangami Beach. Swimming hours run from 9am to 4pm. On the spacious sandy beach where Bangami Beach and Nishi-Bangami Beach lie side by side, lifeguards are stationed on designated days from Saturday, July 11 to Sunday, August 16. There are 6 beach huts along the shore, with changing rooms and showers available when using a beach hut, plus one permanent shower at Nishi-Bangami. There is also one permanent restroom, so families with small children can feel at ease. Play in the water at the water's edge, search for seashells on the sand, and spend the day however you like until close to evening. Why not prepare your swimsuit and towel and head out to Kashiwazaki's summer sea?
