2026 Nozumi Beach (野積海水浴場) Full-Day Course

A one-day course looping around the Teradomari (寺泊) area, starring Nozumi Beach (野積海水浴場) in Nagaoka City, Niigata Prefecture, open from Saturday, July 11 to Sunday, August 16, 2026. In the morning, first stop at Michi-no-Eki SORAIRO Kugami (道の駅 ＳＯＲＡＩＲＯ国上) and get set for the trip while browsing locally grown vegetables, fine Niigata sake and handmade souvenirs. Next comes the Teradomari Aquarium Museum (寺泊水族博物館), where tanks of creatures swimming in Sea of Japan waters and a touch pool tickle children's curiosity. For lunch, go to Teradomari Fish Market Street (寺泊魚の市場通り), affectionately known as the Ameyoko of fish (魚のアメ横). Stroll the street where the aroma of fresh seafood, seafood rice bowls and beach-grilled dishes drifts by, and pick whatever you like for your meal. Once your stomach is full, it is time for the day's climax, Nozumi Beach (野積海水浴場). Swimming is free, and so is the parking lot for 800 standard cars, a wonderfully generous touch. Changing rooms and paid hot showers are fully provided, and two beach houses stand on the shore, so you will not be stuck even if you show up with nothing but a swimsuit. Restrooms are also in place, so families with small children can spend the whole day at ease. Play at the water's edge, build sandcastles, and savor the Sea of Japan summer to the fullest until evening. It is an indulgent course that lets you enjoy both Teradomari (寺泊) gourmet food and the Nozumi (野積) sea in a single day.
