2026 Kobohama Beach (弘法浜遊泳場) Full-Day Course
A one-day course for enjoying all of the Izu Oshima (伊豆大島) Motomachi (元町) area, starring Kobohama Beach (弘法浜遊泳場), open from Saturday, July 18 to Sunday, August 16, 2026. In the morning, take a bath at Gojinka Onsen (御神火温泉) in Oshima Motomachi (大島元町) to switch into island time, then learn the history and nature of this volcanic island at the Oshima Town Local Museum (大島町郷土資料館). At midday, rest at Tsubaki Hana Garden (椿花ガーデン) beside Oshima Airport (大島空港) while looking out over grounds where camellias bloom. The climax is Kobohama Beach (弘法浜遊泳場) in the afternoon. The black-sand shore spreading out right next to Motomachi Port (元町港) is free to swim at, letting you make the most of Oshima's (大島) clear waters. Swimming hours are from 9:00 to 16:00. Splash at the water's edge or relax on the sand, and enjoy summer at each family member's own pace. Why not spend a special day at the sea of an island you can reach easily by ferry or jetfoil?
