2026 Tochigi City Sports Park Pool (栃木市総合運動公園プール), outdoor 50 m pool, Full-Day Course

A one-day course starring Tochigi City Sports Park Pool (栃木市総合運動公園プール), the outdoor 50 m pool open from Wednesday, July 1 to Monday, August 31, 2026. In the morning, enjoy a boat ride on the Uzuma River (巴波川) and take in the retro storehouse townscape in central Tochigi City, known as the storehouse town. Gazing from the boat as it glides gently along a moat-like waterway at white walls and black-fenced merchant houses, then learning the town's history at a storehouse-built tourism hall by the river, makes for a refreshingly cool morning. From midday it is finally time for the main event, the Sports Park Pool. Swim in earnest in the full-scale outdoor 50 m pool with its eight lanes, or splash about with little ones in the adjoining toddler pool; either way there is plenty of time until evening. Reasonable fees of 310 yen for adults and 150 yen for children are another point families will appreciate. Combining the charm of the storehouse town with a serious pool in one go, it is a summer outing classic unique to Tochigi City.
