2026 Hondo Beach Full-Day Course (本渡海水浴場)
This is a full-day course centered on Hondo Beach, which opens from June 28 (Sunday) to August 31 (Monday) 2026, fully enjoying the town of Hondo, the center of Amakusa from morning. In the morning, walk on the Gion Bridge with lingering Edo-period charm, learn about local history at Amakusa Shiro Memorial Hall connected to the Shimabara Rebellion, and pay respects at Hondo Suwa Shrine before heading to the sea. The climax is Hondo Beach in the afternoon. Lifeguards are stationed on the shallow sandy shore with calm waves, and changing rooms, showers, and rest areas are complete, so even small children can relax safely. Swimming is free, and 50 free parking spaces are available. Enjoy plenty of water play at the shoreline until evening. Bring your swimsuit and towel and head to summer Amakusa.
