2026 Komaiko Beach Full-Day Experience Course
A full-day course exploring the Matsuai area, with Komaiko Beach in Hakusan City, Ishikawa Prefecture (open from July 11 to August 16, 2026) as the star attraction. In the morning, spend a peaceful time at the Chiyo-jo no Sato Haiku Museum, associated with Chiyo-jo, a renowned female haiku poet of Kaga, and get active on the expansive grass area at Matsuai Comprehensive Sports Park. At noon, enjoy local flavors at the Michi no Eki Megumi Hakusan roadside station, and after eating, head to Komaiko Beach. This beach along the Sea of Japan features a gently sloping shoreline with calm waves, making it safe and enjoyable for families with young children. Facilities including hot showers, a shop, and rest areas are available, so there's no trouble finding places to change clothes or take a break. Admission to the beach is free, with only hot showers charging a small fee (200 yen for adults, 100 yen for elementary and junior high school students), so it's easy to visit on a whim. Enjoy plenty of sand play and swimming until evening, and make it a day where you fully experience summer in Hakusan City. Why not head to this Sea of Japan beach with your swimsuit and towel in hand?
