2026 Katase Higashihama Beach 1-Day Experience
This is a 1-day course that runs from July 1 (Wednesday) to September 6 (Sunday), 2026, featuring Katase Higashihama Beach as the star and allowing you to enjoy the entire Shonan and Enoshima area. In the morning, meet dolphins and jellyfish at Enoshima Aquarium, walk and eat local Shonan specialties at Enoshima's Nakamise shopping street, and pay your respects at Enoshima Shrine to pray for travel safety. The climax is Katase Higashihama Beach in the afternoon. The shallow sandy beach overlooking Enoshima is lined with beach houses, and changing rooms and showers are available, so you can swim almost empty-handed. Swimming hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. (8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekends, holidays, and during the Obon period of August 8–16), and swimming itself is free. Enjoy the summer to the fullest at the water's edge while gazing at the view of Enoshima until evening. From aquariums and shrine visits to swimming, it's a packed 1-day experience with all the charm of Shonan. Why not take the whole family to Enoshima and Katase Beach this summer?
