2026 Shikashima Beach Full-Day Itinerary
A full-day course centered on Shikashima Beach, which opens from July 1 (Wednesday) to August 31 (Monday), 2026, where you can enjoy the entire island of Shikashima floating in Genkai-nada in Fukuoka City's Higashi Ward. In the morning, visit Shika Kaijinja Shrine, known as the head shrine of sea deities, and enjoy spectacular Genkai-nada views from Kinkin Park, where the national treasure Kinkin seal was unearthed. For lunch, meet marine creatures while fueling up at Marine World Umino-Nakamichi. The climax is Shikashima Beach in the afternoon. Swimming is free, showers cost 500 yen per use but are free with a beach house fee. Lifeguards are stationed on July weekends and daily in August, making it safe for small children to play at the shoreline. Parking has 300 spaces, free for beach house users.
