2026 Katsuma Beach Full-Day Experience Course
A full-day course to enjoy Shika Island to the fullest, centered around Katsuma Beach in Fukuoka City's Higashi Ward, which opens from July 2 (Thursday) to August 31 (Monday), 2026. In the morning, we visit Shiga Shrine (志賀海神社), known as the guardian deity of the sea, and enjoy the views of Genkai Nada from Kiniin Park (金印公園), filled with historical romance. At noon, we interact with marine creatures at Marine World Umino Nakamichi (マリンワールド海の中道) while having lunch. After filling our bellies, we reach the climax at Katsuma Beach for swimming. The tranquil inlet facing Hakata Bay has gentle waves, and during summer there are showers, changing rooms, and a shop. With parking for about 300 vehicles, it's convenient for visitors arriving by car. The beachside boardwalk and grass plaza make it comfortable even with small children. Swimming is free. Bring your swimsuit and towel, and head out for a full day of summer enjoying the entire island.
