2026 Shimomogahama Beach (Before Kyukakulan Shika Island) Full-Day Experience Course
A full-day course to fully enjoy Shika Island floating in Genkai Nada, centered around Shimomogahama Beach, which opens from July 11 (Saturday) to August 16 (Sunday), 2026. In the morning, we visit Shiga Shrine (志賀海神社), known as the island's guardian shrine, enjoy views of Genkai Nada from Kiniin Park, and then have lunch while interacting with marine creatures at Marine World Umino Nakamichi aquarium. The climax is Shimomogahama Beach in the afternoon. About 800m of white sandy beach stretches in front of Kyukakulan Shika Island, where you can enjoy tide pool play at the water's edge, creating a Shika Island-like varied beach experience. Connected to Fukuoka city by just one bridge, this island offers a sense of openness while escaping the hustle and bustle of the urban area. Each family member can enjoy the sea at their own pace, playing in the waves on the sandy beach or searching for shells and small creatures in the rocky areas. Bring your swimsuit and towel, and head to summer Shika Island.
